Serving Together to Reach a Hurting World
The Recovery in Christ Ministries Board of Directors is made up of men and women who have each experienced the transforming power of Jesus Christ through the recovery process. Together, they offer their gifts, experience, and leadership to help guide this ministry in its mission of “Reaching Out to a Hurting World.”

Joseph Santolucito
Vice President
Joe has over 42 years in recovery and is a co-founder of Recovery In Christ Ministries. He has served as a lay counselor in several Christian ministries, including Calvary Prison Ministry (visiting prisons in Florida and beyond), Recovery in Christ’s 12-Step prison program at the Pinellas County Jail, and as a Board Member of the Tampa Christian Helpline.
Joe has organized numerous Christ-centered recovery groups and facilitated countless meetings. He continues to faithfully serve as Vice President on the Board of Recovery in Christ Ministries.
Favorite Scripture: “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” — Matthew 6:33

Tommy Tieche
Director
Tommy began his recovery journey in 2004 while working for the Salvation Army ARC and later at Turning Point in Tampa as a Behavioral Health Technician. He started serving by volunteering with Youth for Christ’s outreach to the Pinellas County Juvenile Detention Centers.
Today, Tommy facilitates recovery meetings locally, online, and walks daily with others in their 12-step recovery. Since relocating to northern Florida in 2007, he has managed the ministry’s website and outreach efforts, and volunteers with the Marion County Sheriff’s Jail Program and the 6th Judicial Drug Court.
Favorite Scripture: “For I know the plans I have for you… plans to give you hope and a future.” — Jeremiah 29:11

Cheryl Tieche
Secretary/Treasurer
Cheryl was introduced to Recovery in Christ Ministries in 2015 and quickly fell in love with the simplicity and power of the spiritual principles found in the 12 Steps. Through her Christ-centered efforts, she has been a great support to the ministry and a steady encouragement to other women in the fellowship.
Favorite Scripture: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord…” — Colossians 3:23

Richard Massman
Co-Founder, Spiritual Adviser (Retired)
Richard has over 42 years in recovery and co-founded Recovery in Christ Ministries. He has provided counseling in numerous Christian ministries, including Youth for Christ, and served as Program Coordinator for a Salvation Army residential treatment program.
By God’s grace, Richard has also served as Director of the Tampa Christian Helpline, Commissioner for the City of Oldsmar, FL, Caribbean Field Coordinator for Missionary Ventures, and a member of the Executive Committee of the Christian Recovery Network in Tampa.
He now serves the Recovery in Christ Board as a spiritual adviser and consultant while developing new recovery materials based on his decades of experience and surrendered walk with Jesus.
Favorite Scripture: “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me…” — Galatians 2:20

Robert Whitby
Bob has been a faithful part of Recovery In Christ Ministries for several years and is an active member of other fellowships. He found real growth in his recovery when he realized the spiritual principals of the 12-Steps had led him to real faith in Jesus. He continues to sponsor others and share his experience and hope. Bob is committed to service through helping others and regularly facilitates the RIC meetings at the local jail. Bob serves as a Board Member of Recovery In Christ Ministries, Inc.
Robert’s favorite Scripture is: 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (Which he uses for his Step 10)

Dan McCool (†)
Dan’s recovery journey began at the Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center in Tampa, Florida. There, he worked the 12 steps of AA and developed an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. He sponsored others, facilitated meetings, and grew strong in Christ by practicing the recovery principles in all his affairs.
The most life-changing principle Dan embraced was “surrender”—allowing Jesus to live His life through him (John 14:10; Galatians 2:20). He served as Facilities Director at New Beginnings of Tampa.
Dan has since passed into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus, where he now serves Him in a more personal way, yet his legacy continues to inspire and encourage many in recovery.
Favorite Scripture: “It is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work.” — John 14:10
